Scottish Rugby Case Study by activHR Consulting

Scottish Rugby's non-standard requirements dictated to us that something more than a common HR software solution would be needed. Like other organisations, they had a need to easily deal with their normal employee related data, general record keeping with self-service capability and proactive workflow capability. However, as the governing body for the sport in Scotland, they wanted to combine the typical subject matter of recruitment, absence and holiday management, training administration and performance management with the system needs of players, referees, coaches and all associated data within the one solution.

They required a solution that would accommodate the recording of all player performance data and subsequent reporting and business intelligence. Match day performance analysis, player selection, training session administration and diet & nutrition all sit alongside alongside the capability to satisfy the stringent anti-doping and child protection legislation.  As with any business the operational requirements are expected to change in the future, so it was important to them to have a solution that was future proof, allowing users to implement quick changes to any new functionality required, and without the need to employ the services of expensive software consultants.
